Community Recreation Center - At a public hearing on Wednesday, May 9th at 6:00 p.m., the Planning Commission will consider the application of the Truckee Donner Recreation and Parks District for the Community Recreation Center. The Commission will consider a rezoning of the property at the southwest corner of Highway 89 North / Donner Pass Road to Public Facilities and a development permit to construct the first two phases of the recreation center and forward a recommendation to the Town Council. Trails and Bikeways Master Plan Amendment - At a public hearing on Thursday, May 17th at 6:00 p.m., the Town Council will consider amendments to the Truckee Trails and Bikeways Master Plan. The Council will consider surfacing requirements for trails, including paving of the Truckee River Legacy Trail. The Planning Commission already reviewed the proposed amendments and recommends that the Council approve the amendments. Joerger Ranch (Planned Community 3) - On Thursday, April 12th the Town Council and Planning Commission held a joint meeting to accept public comment and discuss the specific plan proposal submitted by the developers. This is part of the early public involvement program and is an opportunity for the public to provide comments on the project at this early stage of the review process. The Council and Commission continued the meeting to allow for more discussion by the Council and Commission. The date and time for this next meeting has not yet been set. Inclusionary Housing Ordinance - On May 3rd the Town Council will consider the adoption of an ordinance to amend the Truckee Development Code that will establish regulations and controls on affordable housing units and requiring new residential development projects to provide affordable housing units as part of the project. Canyon Springs Subdivision (formerly known as Tahoe Boca) - On April 24th the Community Development Department released the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the project.
