Employee Housing Requirements
Although the Town Council has not yet adopted an implementing ordinance, commercial and industrial projects are required to provide affordable housing for employees generated by the project in accordance with Housing Element Program 1.3.4.   The Affordable Housing Working Group has prepared a draft workforce housing ordinance for consideration by the Town Council.  The Town Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, August 7th at 6:00 p.m. to consider adoption of the ordinance.  For more information on employee housing requirements, please contact the Truckee Planning Division at (530) 582-7820 or at Town Hall, 10183 Truckee Airport Road, Truckee.

Housing Element
The Housing Element, adopted in 2005, is the Town's official policy that guides decision-making on key housing issues.  These issues include the provision of a mix and balance of housing types and costs to meet the needs of all segments of the community, provision of affordable housing for special needs grouops in the community, and the maintenance of the existing affordable housing stock.
