The Historic Preservation Advisory
Commission is a citizens advisory body that assists and advises the
Council and Town staff on historic preservation matters. The Commission also makes
reviews and makes recommendations on historic design review applications. It is
comprised of seven members who are appointed by the Town Council. The current
members are:
- Brendan Riley, Chair
- Gerry Rodriguez, Vice-Chair
- Sharon Arnold
- Shelley McGinity
- Carole Sesko
- Vangie Wightman
- Robbie Wilson-Litchfield
Three of the members are professionals in the
disciplines of architecture, history, architectural history, planning, or other historic
preservation related disciplines. One member is a member of the Truckee-Donner
Historical Society, and three members are lay members who have a special interest,
competence, experience, or knowledge in historic preservation or in Truckee history.

Commission Meetings
The Commission meets twice each month on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 8:00
a.m. in the Town Council Chambers. The agendas and minutes for previous meetings are
available below.
